getting Started

What Is Telemental Health?

Telemental health is the delivery of behavioral and/or mental health services using technology in lieu of traditional face-to-face methods (e.g., providing therapy or conducting diagnostic interviewing via video teleconferencing).

All services are provided through a HIPAA-compliant and multi-layer encryption service, which protects and secures video and your personal health information.

How Does It Work?

Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation by clicking on “Book Now” below. An initial consultation can be helpful even if you are just curious about mental health services and would like to ask questions to better understand the therapy process. During this conversation, my goal is for both of us to assess whether I would be the best connect for your mental health needs.

If a good fit, an appointment date and time will be scheduled. You will receive a set of intake forms and payment information to complete prior to the first visit.

On the day of your visit you will receive an email link to start the visit. Click the link five mins before the scheduled visit.

When the visit is complete, payment is taken and a receipt is provided.

Communities Served?

I am offering telemental health services in the states of Georgia, Virginia, and Wisconsin. I am NOT currently accepting clients in the state of Kansas.

Does Dr. Jordan take insurance?

I do not accept insurance or bill them directly; I am considered an out-of-network provider. When visiting an out-of-network provider, you are responsible for payment of services at the time of service. Depending on your insurance carrier, all or part of your services may qualify for reimbursement through your individual insurance plan.

If you desire to utilize your insurance benefits, I can provide a receipt (or Superbill) for you to submit to your provider for possible out-of-network services reimbursement. Please confirm with your insurance company that this is an option prior to scheduling an appointment.

Does Dr. Jordan offer reduced fees?

I offer a limited amount of reduced fee appointments. Discounts for essential services are offered depending upon family size and income. You may apply by calling 678-249-8985.

What happens if I “”no show” an appointment?

If you cannot attend an appointment, please cancel 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, you will be charged the full cost of the session. No show fees are due at the time of the missed appointment.

How are payments accepted?

I accept debit and all major credit cards as forms of payment. Payment is due at time of service unless other arrangements have been made prior to session.

Will I ever be surprised by the cost of a session and what's the No Suprise Act?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
